Openfinance is looking for an entry-level front-end engineer to implement user interfaces in React/Redux (Typescript) and thoroughly test new and existing functionality using both manual and automated testing procedures.
This position is ideal for a candidate who has theoretical training in React/Redux (for example, from a bootcamp or similar), but may not have much concrete experience building real-world applications yet. Ideal candidates are eager for hands-on experience in Typescript; automated unit, integration, and browser testing (using Selenium, Browserstack, or similar); modular React/Redux component design and architecture; and modern, responsive CSS.
In this role, you’ll work under our Front-End Engineering Lead and our Head of Product and User Experience. Some degree of mentorship and guidance is assumed, although candidates are expected to be at least reasonably proficient in the listed skills and qualifications.
The primary products you’ll be working on include a suite of user-facing investing tools in the brand new digital alternative asset space, in addition to some internal but still very important administrative back-end screens which are evolving as we discover how to make our back-office operations more efficient.
This position is intended to be a mid-term contract that allows you to explore areas of web application engineering without having to commit to anything long-term. While the initial engagement is scoped at 6 months, there are possibilities for continuation in a more permanent role if there is interest on both sides.
